External changes made by Creation kit? Should I be worried?

Hi I'm new here and I need a bit of help with vortex. I'm using vortex to mod Skyrim. I'm in the middle of a playthrough, I decided to modify one of my mods ini's to prevent a bug. My problem is that I also got an external changes window that showed multiple files I did NOT alter outside of vortex. I only altered a single, ini file inside the mod folder. I suspect those were changes made by the creation kit I installed, due to the files affected being script ones inside the source folder. The ones in the staging folder have all varied last edited dates, like from 2018 through 2021. The new files vortex is asking if it should replace the mod added ones, are all from 2018. Am I correct on my assumption as I did NOT modify anything else outside of vortex? Should I be worried that some other application is modifying my files? Could it be my anti virus? Help would be much appreciated. Thank you for your attention and sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native.

No anti-virus will modify your script files. They can screw up a lot of other things, like make a file not executable. But not this.

Installing the creation kit does not modify script files. You have to actually run it and make changes to scripts.

Bethesda provides script source in a big zip file. Not visible unless you unzip it.

We can give more / better insight if you identify a few of these changed scripts.
