CTDs the longer I play

Hey all,

So I started a pretty heavily modded playthrough a few weeks back, got to around seventy hours in but I was getting CTDs constantly at that point. Fast travel, entering new cells, even just scrolling through the menu, it was a nightmare. Eventually gave up and started again, went through my mod list re-adding stuff one at a time, testing it out for a while and then adding the next one if there weren't any issues.

It seemed like I'd managed okay, but now I'm about four hours in and I'm starting to get these crashes again. I was just wondering (hoping) if someone might be able to take a look at my modlist for any glaring issues I might have missed? It's here https://modwat.ch/u/PMurphy85 . Everything I've added is specifically for SE except for Inconsequential NPCs which I converted from LE.

I'll admit I'm still using NMM rather than MO2 or Vortex, it's just cause I'm so used to NMM and I didn't really wanna learn a new system, ya know? Using LOOT to sort the modlist too.

Anyone who might be able to help?

Nothing really jumped out at me, do you know how to use SSEEdit (xEdit)? You could look for conflicts between your mods, as LOOT is not foolproof. Another possibility is your bashed patch is a bit out of order. If you made any changes at all after you made it, that could cause problems.

You are using a lot of mods that I do not, so you may need someone with more experience with them. I don't see SSE Engine Fixes in your LO. Check it out, and see if it has anything you may need, as certain crash sources are remedied.

Thanks for the advice! I've used FNVedit in the past to clear up some conflicts with New Vegas mods, so I assume using SSEEdit would be the same as that? And I do actually have SSE Engine Fixes, I'm not sure why it's not showing up in the load order :s

Yeah, Engine Fixes is a .dll, so it won't show up in the LO. Make sure that you have it and its supporting file installed as per instructions. Double check and make sure that the options that you may need are enabled (a .toml file in skse plugins).

Good Luck! I am waiting on a few more of my favorite mods to be fully updated for AE, and I am dreading the changeover...
