Can't get race mods to work...

I'm new to the whole modding Oblivion thing, and I've been trying to get some custom races to work. I'm able to get Ren's Beauty Pack to work but nothing else, even after reading the guides and FAQ's. I've been trying with OBMM and it's set up like this:

Oblivion

KT CustomRaceFix

Ren Beauty Pack

Mystic Dark Elf

Corean Race

Elves of Lineage II

 

 

The only that works out of those is Rens Beauty Pack... I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

alot of times different custom races fight each other. Try loading one at a time or changing load order. Alot of times i noticed that many races are not compatible.

Just tried deactivating every single one and having one checked off underneath Oblivion, only Ren's Beauty Pack worked still.

You don't say how they don't work. Do you have the choice of race when you want to make a character?

 

The hair and eyes from Ren's Beauty Pack won't show up on these races unless they have been included with them. Otherwise they have to be added with the Construction Set.

 

I use the races you've listed, but I don't use Ren's Itself. I use Cosmetic Compilation which has Ren's incorporated into it.

Not that that should matter anyhow.

 

I've customized these races for myself, but if I remember correctly Elves of Lineage only has three eye choices. You won't get the eyes from Ren's with it. The same with Mystic Dark Elf, I think.

 

If you have them installed correctly and the esp files are checked in OBMM or your game launcher Data files then they should show up in Character selection when you start a new game.

I mean the other races are simply not an option. I cannot select anything from Coreans/Elves of L2/Mystic Dark Elf.

I gather you can see the race when you cycle through them in the game but can't select eyes or hair?

 

Try moving Ren's to be last in the list. Use OBMM to do this with the Move up/down buttons at the bottom of the screen. Then see if it makes a difference.

 

You can also leave Ren's esp unchecked and then try one of the other races and see if you can select anything. Unless you want to create a Mystic Elf from Ren's the other races only need the meshes and textures from it to work if they require Ren's hair which some of them do.

Hi, I have the same problem.

It's installed correctly, but the races are not even options when creating a character. Only mystic elf will be available as a new race. I have Xenius comp race mod and it doens't work for me, none of the races appear except the game standard ones (imperial, nord etc)

I also have this same problem, i downloaded the Succubus mod pack (wjth all required programs) but I can't see the races involved in the character list. The only playable races are the pre-sets (orc, imperial ect..) Help would be much appreciated :)
