Yossarian22
yeah that's what I've decided to do. Only going to use the vanilla companions and the downloaded ones though. Using the likes of Lucus Simms, or Moira or whatever just seems daft to me. It's just the "Friend" option at the top of the dialouge box everytime is kinda annoying Here is the deal...I already started to mod something cool for this. A Companion Customize Utility. With this small Mod you will be able to buy and sell Weapons with unlimited Ammo for ONLY Companions and also you can buy Health Improvements or Stat Improvements for them. There will be a few other things to set essential on or off and change their appearance, like choose a scale or age-stage for them and more. This Mod will work for all vanilla and all downloaded companions and also for sharing and caring. So, with this Utility you will be able to hire a NPC with Sharing and Caring and then change nearly everything to your preferances. Appearance for Free, Combat-Skills, Health-Improvements and Noammo-Weapons for Charge. So you could make of a Megaton-Settler a real Wasteland-Warrior. As a little Extra this Utility has the Ability too for change your own Character Appearance too completly. This means all, sex, age, scale, name, face. But I will not add Weapon or Stat Improvements for the Player. I guess I will upload this Mod in the next days. Gretz
eeeeddd37
Can you add the ability to use stimpaks. I don't like the regenerating companions and the ones that you can't heal with out a second stimpak mod. CBO 1.4 has this feature but I would like it to apply to everyone. maybe like an all npcs use stimpaks mod. I got mika and charon to use no ammo in their weapons I recruited them in sharing and caring and set the ammo to npcs use no ammo by clicking on the scc settings. I found that if I gave them a weapon that had the settings npc use ammo they still used ammo despite the sharing and caring setting. I was using this before and didn't think about it because I have used so many mods. Maybe the default setting is npcs use no ammo.

Might just wait for that cause with Sharing and Caring companions even when I put NPCs use ammo off, all companions still need ammo for their guns. Maybe I misunderstood what that "NPCs don't need ammo" meant or it's glitched or conflicting with something
Yossarian22
I already did it mostly. Its kida cool to change your companion for example from bittercup, a sweet girl, into a 2 metre high, old ugly giant male... the only glich here is, that I cant give a choice for hairstyles, so mostly by changing age or sex of a companion his hairstyle is set to default. Anyway, thats more for fun. The serious part will have the Option for buy some Improvements. I will make most of the native game weapons available as no ammo version for companions. You can buy them and change again if you have more caps. A 10mm will be way more cheap than a Minigun, Flamer or Gatling Laser. However, a few things, that directly change the base object are still a bit tricky. Like set essential off and on for companions, so maybe I have to leave it out. With Oblivion Script extender it would be possible, but Fallout Script Extender not yet support the required functions.
eeeeddd37
In sharing and caring companions I just went up to mika did friend then recruit. I amde sure the scc settings were npcs use no ammo. I watched her fire 16 shots and her ammo was still at 50. Charons assault rifle ammo didn't change either. Maybe you need to install fose and fomm like the sharing and caring mod says. ? eeeeddd37
Maybe try changing the sniper rifle that she has stats. Like increase damage by 2. I changed all my weapons/projectiles/explosions in the game. Save the file in geck and load it with the game. It is about all that I can think of. Maybe try setting it to npcs use no ammo and then talk to her and then see if it is still npcs use no ammo after you stop talking to her. Or try setting it again after you talk to her. Like flip back and forth. Hopefully this will work for you.
