nukedcola Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 i am still prepare the basic things before install mods,i saw many people said it is important, but when i install this it crashed some times, and if not change its name into fallout launcher i can not start game with steam.i am confused,i have almost no experience of install mods, only cities xl,and it is very easy.
jazzisparis Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 No, it's not necessary to install FOSE, but it is highly recommended, since many mods will not work without it.You should install and use a mod manager (if you aren't already), such as NMM or FOMM.After installing FOSE, you launch the game by selecting Launch FOSE in the mod manager (instead of Launch Fallout 3).
pkleiss Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 I tried to stay away from FOSE when i first started modding, but eventually installed it as I just couldn't resist the added scripting functions it offered. In the end, I have to say that I should have installed it right away. It's easy, causes no issues and opens up a far larger modding world. IMO it should be considered standard and not an extra.
ginkarasu Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 To enable fose with steam, you only have to +add game, choose non steam game, browse to your folder where fose is installed select and activate. Now fose loader shows up in your gameslist. And you can play fo3 with fose and steam! No need to rename your filename... just saying :)
