Bruma Crashes when entered

I was banging out the fighters guild quests when I encountered this issue.

 

I'm at the point when I have to speak with Modryn Oreyn to get the 'Information Gathering' quest when Bruma decide to go AWOL. :wallbash: Bruma was working fine earlier in the session. I turned off some mods, trying to think of anything that affected Burma. I don't have much that does besides a npc's clothing replacer, but no luck.

 

I downloaded the newest version of Earl_s crash prevention but that didn't help either.

 

The crash occurs when I activate any of the city entrance gates or fast travel to the castle. Any ideas?

Don't know what your problem is, mysel,f sorry... not much for working out the causes of random sticks like this... I usually just go and do sowmthing else for a while (in actual game terms... leave the area and do something else for a while), and it often rights itself eventually.

 

While I can't offer a solution or explanation, I can offer you a potential work around; Look up the actual cell you need (in the construction set) and coc yourself to it... that should hopefully bypass the crash point, if you're lucky. hopefully by the time you next need to visit the city, it'll have forgotten it was crashing there.

This one is usually caused by the Player statue in Bruma. You are either using a different character, or you have changed the race of your character since the statue was created.

 

Here is a fix that removes the statue and allows you back into Bruma.
