Interior Effects issue

Hi all,

In recent days, my game has started acting up in an unusual way:

In-game effects, specifically in interiors, have begun to look like they're suffering horrible lag, even though the rest of the game, movement and animation is running as flawlessly as, well, the rest of the game... (I've never had any sort of running issues before, it's always been fine)

I first noticed in in an ruin a few days ago, where the traps seemed to be jerky.... a wall of spikes made its way cumbersomely towards me in a series of jerky tableaus, rather than the expected smooth rush forward... an actual slow down, mind you; the result was it taking far longer to get from one end to the other. My character, and the rest of the game were functioning fine, and so i could happily wander around it, in front of it, etc., while it tried valiantly to spike me.

I noticed that this was actually happening with all the traps, and all the doors in the ruin, such that I'd have to stand around waiting for a deal of time after pushing a block to open a dorr, waiting for the grate to actually manage to slide down. At this stage I assumed that the ruin might be broken, and so after exploring it left and went on my way, but soon realised that it was indeed happening in All interiors now. as well as this, particle effects, from casting spells and the like, also suffer this problem in interiors now.... both around my character, around other objects and general cloud effects from hitting, say, a wall with a spell... even though my character and everything else moves smoothly and flawlessly around them (so, for example, if I cast a a self-targeting spell, the spell effect will begin to play, then jerkily progress around my character, sometimes freezing up altogether, mid effect, for a long period, yet still moving, in its frozen state, with my character and proportionally and relationally correct... just frozen). It's a bit baffling really...

I've not started any new mods aroudn the time that this problem began to occur, though I should mention I do run a great many. None of them have previously caused problems, and I can't think of any that could potentially have randomly started this problem occuring, from running fine before.

I don't belive this is happening is I start a new game file; and I fear it may be related to my actual fiole somehow... the game file in question, being the only character I really play with, is quite old; she's level 50 and has taken her time getting there, done most of the quests in the game, though with still a lot to do. (Haven't finished the main story line yet though... I find if I do that, I lose all drive to play, so I hold off until I'm done with everything else.)

Under normal circumstances ,I'd grit my teeth and live with it, as horribkly distracting and immersion breaking as it is, however, one problem in particular, as I've mentioned is doors; I simply can't deal with every interior door having to struggle for a few minutes before it's managed to swing open enough to let me squeeze throgh...

I hope someone can identify this problem and let me know what's going on, and what might be done,

Thanks again for takignthe time to read,

This sounds like it may be the stuck animation bug. I thought it had fixed by a patch, either the last official patch or one of the unofficial patches.

This bug happens in games with over 200 hours of play and causes all kinds of animations to slow way down, including flames, doors, movable platforms and especially opening chests.

If that is what it is, Here is a fix. If that is not what it is this fix will not affect your game in any way that I know of.
