magicbat
For the first part of the game this was not a problem, I went about my buisiness with no issues, but then, upon leaving the Powder Ganger fortress, it happened for the first time, and now happens everywhere. Waiting, sleeping and teleporting don't fix it, niether does typing pcb into the console. I even tried reinstalling the game, and installing a texture pack, both resulted in the same thing: no changes to the low resolution ground. It only seems to effect some cells, while other cells res fine. Sometimes it eventually pops in, but almost always it stays low res. Could anybody please help me? Just an extra radio station, a mod that changes legion armor, script extender and a mod that allows me to increase universal damage. I have a pretty good rig, running a Geforce GTX 660, Intel Core i7-3770K processor, 8 GB memory, and Windows 8 Edited August 28, 2013 by magicbat
magicbat
In my quest to fix this I've noticed a mess of other texture issues: Textures in the distance flicker The shadows on my arms in FPS mode flicker Disabling ENB doesn't help. Switching off HDR, however, returns the textures to normal (but messes up a bunch of other stuff because of the ENB) Edited August 28, 2013 by magicbat
ma1025
I get this as well from time to time and I used to get it even when playing the vanilla game. What it seems to be is, the game starts loading your cell and for whatever reason just stops loading the ground textures, using the low res placeholder instead. I couldn't tell you how to fix it, though. Perhaps reducing memory hogging aspects of the game like "grids to load" (requires a new game or this mod) and so on?
