Savegame size and mods.

My savegame size has just creeped past 9megs... and I only just got to Novac. Now, granted I've putzed around in various locations (including AWOP and DEIMOS), but I'm pretty paranoid at having such a large save with possibly only 5% of my game content even touched. What is the general stability limit on savegame files? 20mb? I'm running the game on an SSD if it matters (doubt it does). I've already tested the Savegame Cleaner and it only removed maybe 300kb. My next proactive step is to maybe remove some mods.

 

Also, does anyone have any experience removing AWOP midway through the game? Does it cause all sorts of problems?

I had to remove AWOP halfway through the game this time simply because of the horrible instability I had in the interiors (like The Underground). I haven't had any problems with it thus far. 90% of AWOP is just its own self-contained weapons, armor, locations, and NPCs and it doesn't seem to interact much with the actual vanilla assets. Just make sure you remove all AWOP added equipment from your storage and inventory before you do, I guess.

 

Drop everything and use "disable" on it.

 

For safe measure, go inside an interior location and wait four days to get the world to refresh after removing it.
