Mig35
Yesterday I downgraded from the Anniversary edition back to SE by using the downgrade patcher. I haven't had the anniversary edition ever running because I did not update SKSE. (got the message: skse not up to date etc etc) After running the patcher, my Skyrim SE installation worked again. However: I got CTD when I used the features in the Keep it Clean mod. I got a CTD while trying to enter a bathroom in an inn. Sometimes I could enter a bathroom and wash myself but then I could not exit the bathroom or doing a quicksave without getting a CTD. Also washing in open water could lead to a CTD or a CTD after saving. I never had any problems with the Keep it Clean mod before only after having to downgrade. (If only I was aware of the settings in Steam so that I could avoid the anniversary update.) Can anyone tell my what might be the problem here? wfandrews
If you wish to stop Steam from updating your SSE you can do this: go to Steam>steamapps> appmanifest_489830.acf and make that file read only. From then on when you log onto Steam it will show SSE as "update paused", however you will not be able to launch the game from Steam as long as the update is paused. I saw this tweak on another thread in these forums and really like it as I can now log onto Steam and not have to worry about my game updating. I cannot help you with your mod problem as I have never used that mod. Perhaps someone who is familiar with that mod can help you.
Mig35
I found the option in Steam already but thank you for your intention to help anyway  Shortly after my problem with the keep it clean mod, it seems only a matter of going back to a former save and try another bathroom in another inn and that works again. I do however seem to have a structural problem with CTD on save pretty often. After the bathroom problem, it seemed that I could not get pas the cutscene at the timewound. That also ended by going to another location first, make a save and the cutscene did not crash at the end. Now the situation is as follows: after loading the last save I always get a CTD when I want to make a new save and I almost always get a CTD on entering an interior. It seems I can undo that problem by typing the "player.kill" command in the console. Then I can play a normal session and everything can be saved. I have to do this all the time before I start playing.... Edited January 14, 2022 by Mig35
