Noob in distress

:wallbash: I just started trying to use mods a few days ago. I've watched just about every tutorial on youtube and still can't figure it out. I think I'm doing it right, but each time I try I end up with this message that says "Windows does not support this CD-R format." I'm trying to do this on a pretty fast computer with FOMM But it's still not working.

Can some one out there tell me what I'm doing wrong, or preferably guide me through the process like you would a 2 year old

Windows does not support this CD-R format.
:ermm:  .....

basically here are the steps, if somethings not working right be specific about what step is giving you the trouble and we can expand on that

1- download a mod from here, its will probably be a 7zip or zip file

2- open that zip file with winrar, 7zip, etc

3- if there is a data folder in the zip file, drag that folder into your fallout3\ folder and say yes to overwrite OR

4- if there is an .esp and/or meshes/textures folders, drag those into your fallout3\data\ folder and overwrite

5- go get archive invalidation and run it > http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944

6- start FOMM and you should see your new mod listed in the left window, make sure it comes after the main .esm files and check it off

7- click launch fallout

the desktop or anywhere thats easy for you to remember where you put it

you could make a folder called FO3mods or something to keep track of which ones youve got

then inside that file will be the files you need to put into the game folder
