Okay so is it just me or is anyone else slightly disappointed that there is no comment when doing the daedric quest for Molag Bal about being one of his "children" I mean I kind of expected more, any one else have thoughts on it?

Yeah I know, but I just figured with how much they changed with Dawnguard and the Vampire abilities and such that there could just be a slight dialogue change or something, like even changing the word "mortal" to like "daughter" for females and "son" for men would have been an improvement, cause I mean its insulting to be called mortal when I am so clearly not lol

The PC never becomes one of Molag's children. You are, at best, a mongrel descendant of his true gift. You have neither given yourself to his worship, nor have you submitted to the rites to become a true child of Cold Harbour.

Even then, Molag Bal isn't one who really gives a rats ass about his worshipers. There's no affection, no recognition, only submittance.

I agree, Bethesda screwed up big on that one. Maybe a voice and subtitle creator or editor will be added to the CK one day that'd be able to change it. I guess for the time being it'd be best to take the quest before turning yourself into a vampire.

Lachdonin has a good point as well though.

@Lachdonin: Idk honestly because Harkon is a descendent of Molag Bal he is pure blooded and I at least have half of that so I think there should be some acknowledgement of some kind at least if not as a half breed then at least as no longer being a "mortal"

@Simniac: I would love a subtitle editor and voice editor! I was only a little disappointed not enough to start over or anything but I will remember that if I decide to play through it again, this was just something I thought was an interesting topic to talk about

You are still Mortal, though. Being ageless doesn't mean you aren't mortal, at least in the Elder Scrolls. Mortals are Black Souls, self realized individuals free from the burden of philosophical nature (which restricts the Gods) and being a Vampire doesn't change that. You just become an extremely long lived mortal who has to drink the blood of other mortals.

But Harkon is a vampire and he's saying that he's immortal, are you saying that's not true? Aren't you as much of a vampire as he is even though you're not a child of coldharbour? Or is it that he's a child of coldharbour and that's what makes him immortal? (I'm sorry if this is a n00b question, I'm not the brightest person when it comes to these things).
