Skyrim CTD and Freezes.

So my Skyrim tends to CTD and freezes after about 5 minutes.

I'd play it and after a while it'd either completely freeze, meaning the only way to continue is to use Task Manager to end the process; or it'd just CTD.

My computer specs are:

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core @ 3.4Ghz

But ELFX isn't active? Why would I need to activate SoS - The Dungeons-PatchELFX.esp?

And it has a red box in Wrye Bash, I have a feeling that's a bad thing?

A red box usually means you have to install the mod again, something is wrong/missing

 

Man.. you have a lot of mod's, some of them are quite heavy and you only have 4gb ram... your OS is using at least 1.5gb so you end up with only 2.5gb ram for Skyrim, that might be your problem. Monitor your ram on task manager or something, while playing Skyrim and see if it fills up.

Yeah, I think it's there when I installed SOS but since I don't use ELFX I just disable it.

 

Right, I'll check that out tomorrow and if that's the case then I guess I'll disable some mods.

What would you say are the most "demanding" mods that I have? Like, ones that I could do without?

have you used boss to get a semi decent load order going and then run it trhough Tes5edit to see if there's any conflicts?

you have mods which conflict with eachother CoT and SoS for example.

I'd advise you go through your mods and see which ones have been made 'redundant' by other mods doing the same thing.
