KottonKing
I have my game installed in C:\Program Files\Games and I have no problems... Make sure you run Oblivion as administrator and turn your UAC off. Turn off UAC? That's a dangerous thing to do because it reduces Vista to the level of protection found in XP and it's equally dangerous to suggest that to other people. My pinned topic, A Guide to Preventing Bugs and Crashes in Oblivion, provides a link to an article which talks about Vista's UAC. I highly recommend you read this article. According to what I have read; Installing in the C:/Games directory, Run game as Administrater and using compatibility mode should make most to nearly all games work with Vista, even with UAC turned on. I install all my games into C:/Games even though I use XP. My main reason is because the game's data files are easier to find, compared to searching through the "Program files" directory trying to remember who made/published the game you're looking for just to find a specific data file. If nothing else, this at least should be the reason you have a C:/Games directory. My game will play with no problems with UAC turned on. It's just a pain in the butt when every time you click on a program to run it, it asks you permission. That's the only reason I turn it off. besides, UAV is only a minor part of pc protection. BTW, Maigrets thank you for correcting me. I made a miss communication. What I meant is what you said. Two MODS of the same type are not compatible. I.E. Robert's body replacer and Exnem's body replacer.
