[LE] Custom Mount Issues

/Don't know if I'm putting this in the right place or the right way, but I'm a little desperate and not accustomed to interacting with game communities. Don't bite my head off, please.

After watching many tutorials and guides, I created a custom mount for my game (Skyrim SE + AE), just for my use because I couldn't really find a mod with these specific vanilla animals rideable the way that I liked. On the basic level it works, the player actor sits on the animal in the right spot, and there's no problems with movement and mounted combat on solid ground.

However, there are two slight problems that break immersion a bit.

1. The most minor of the two, but for a second the player seems to mount an invisible horse next to the custom, or slightly in front of the SaddleBone spot, like in the air above the head or shoulders, then teleports to the correct position. I don't know what deals with this or how to address it, if even possible. Even if it's as easy as changing a numerical value somewhere, I just don't know what deals with this.

2. Avoidable if I just don't go in water but unfortunate, my character will swim above the mount when we enter the water, with the mount still moving below. I stay in this position when returning to land. Dismounting fixes it, though my character just drops to the ground without doing the dismount animation.

I could not find any answers, even to at least know if they're something beyond my scope to fix. I apologize if there is a solution or a general guide for this somewhere, I don't have time or the mental endurance to scour every page of every forum, but keywords into google brought nothing but an old un-answered post of problem 2 on another site. If anyone bothers to read this and has solutions, do spell it out for me as I am not always familiar with technical terms.

Tools I have are Creation Kit, Nifskope, and BAE. Mod manager I use is Vortex.
