not sure whats going on. This is the first time i've ever skinned something...well, there were precursors to this result aswell. That explolsion looks like this in nifskope.

baby steps... I thought i had a picture somewhere of the headwrap that turned sideways too. That was attempt number 2, combined with the wintercombat mask. All better ideas in concept than implementation, so far...

A very similar thing happened when I tried to paste a bow over the surgical tubing in the Dart Gun in Nifskope.

 

I think this oddity is due to the animation of the piece, because I then opened a third mesh, and pasted the main body of the dart gun (and not the tubing) and the bow over top, so that it looked the same, but it didn't have the weird effect ingame.

well i've gotten to the point where it shows up in the geck preview (when you load the nif and skins in geck) though i couldnt tell you how. The next problem is that it doesnt actually show up in game like that, but at least its nota a pixelexplosion
