Glenvar Castle Quest 2

I really love this mod. I had no problem completing the first quest, even with all of my mods installed. But when it came to quest 2, I ran into problems. Seems as though the mod conflicts with just about everything. I tried disabling them, one at a time and then just ended up disabling everything. Then Quest 2 started out 'OK' but still ran into snags.

I opened it up in TES Construction Kit and found that the name of the second quest is aaGlenvarMystery02, and using the setstage console command, was able to work though it a lot easier.

You really don't even have to "do" anything, the stages are 0, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50, 55, 60, 70, 80, 85, 90, 95, and 100. Then the castle is yours free and clear.

For anybody who is not familiar with how to use the console, tap the ~ (tilde character--to the left of the 1 on your keyboard) then type setstage aaGlenvarMystery02 0, this will begin quest 2, then just replace the zero with the numbers that I listed above, at each point, you'll get a new box telling you how far you've advanced and if there is something that you'd like to 'actually do' go ahead. You don't have to use the cheat at every stage, but definitely, you have to get up to setstage aaGlenvarMystery02 20.

I watched a couple of the Youtube walkthoughs and they all fail to mention that you also need to find a knife along with the bloodstained note found with the corpse in the bushes. Being lazy and not wanting to look for it the setstage 20 fixed all of that.

I hope this helps somebody who was getting as frustrated with Glenvar Castle as I was. I think it has to be about the best house/castle mod out there, bar none! I even stopped using Castle Hoarfrost. I thought it was stupid of them to call me "Master Hoarfrost" when I am not!
