(DOTA like MOD) - /Recruiting/ people for mod fun

Hello all, let me start by introducing myself.

I am a freelance multimedia artist from Portugal, I've been working with Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, Illustrator and other programs of the same line for 9 years now and I want to get in the mod adventure.

My favourite subjects to conceptualize and take to production are Sci fi, futuristic and apocalyptic. I've worked with some RL companies of design industry, but never anything gaming related, I'm looking for a opportunity and I believe a good mod would be what's suited for me, for starters.

 

For a whille I have watched how mods tend to expand and migrate into games or ideas for games, just like DOTA started from Warcraft and made it's huge success, I started to believe in modding.

For fun, I thought of making something similar to DOTA, in Fallout, like a seperated map from Mojave, just with the immersion of the first person and third person that Fallout offers. It'd like to add mech, vehicles, defense turrets and towers on capture points and if maybe with some more work, play it online, make a text based role play mod.

 

All these ideas are subject to have a need for other people to collaborate, learn and force our own skill sets evolve in the meantime, as I'm just one man and can't do everything myself.

Be advised that the work there is farrrrr from showing off my current set of skills, I have a collection of DVD tutorials where I learn from professionals artists from Blizzard, Avatar, Underworld and even Bethesda!

So I haven't had the time to update my portfolio as much as I'd like, I hope this opportunity on the mod fun gives me the time and inspiration.

 

If you have any other ideas for a mod other than this '3D Dota' and 'Open world MMO Text roleplay' I'm open to it, I have experience on both games, but I don't like to boss people around, if you have a better idea please feel free to share it.
