War of the Grand Council: The Lost Documents

A few hours passed, and the skimmer finally pulled into port at Ebonheart. It was about 5 or 6 in the evening. As it was approaching summer, the days began to lengthen and and the sun stayed in the sky a little longer, therefore it was still sunny out. It was a beautiful day, one would never have guessed that such a terrible plot was seething under the surface of all this.

The Hlaalu guards gave many thanks to the party, and they took their fond farewells as their boat left the dock to go to Vivec, and deliver the remaining shipments to the Hlaalu vault. The six party members assembled on one of the stone piers.

EDIT:

"If anyone needs to stock up on foods," said Tylen. "Now would be a good time. The owner of Six Fishes will gladly sell any food or drink you can think of."

All other merchants in the town only sold to others within their faction. The Imperial Cult and Imperial Legion had many things to sell, but only members had access to them.

Wrne walks up to the six fishes and asks for some hound (?) meat. (Should it be rat instead... not sure if there are negative effects to hound meat... or rat meat for that matter...) (on second thought ->) and some pieces of rat meat,a couple loaves of bread, and (turns, and counts heads... then shakes her own) 2 jars of cyrodillic brandy please. (Is this 200? if not, i'll alter my price.) stops... then asks "Do you sell crab meat?"

Wren opens a pouch on her belt and pulls out around 500 gold.

OOC: I'm buying a bit in excess here... share some in hard times in the wilderness with others and all... gotta contribute to the group. And yes, i over-tip at restaurants, so i felt that my price would be reasonable, save for maybe the brandy. Secondly, if they don't have cyrodillic brandy (the only all-positive drink) then can someone else name a drink that fortifys strength and endurace? I kin never keep em straight *hic*! (Or anything else, in that condition!)

"Eh..." Isaac said as he walked the area of Ebonheart. He couldn't find a way to make more potions for his magic. He was not familiar to Ebonheart, let alone find a store to buy/rent proper apparatus to make some. Isaac figured supplies from the inn would do. He walked over to the owner and saw Wren heavily tip the man. He began to wonder where Wren got his money, but quickly dismissed the thought as the barkeep asked him what he would like. Isaac bought 2 loaves of bread, and two pieces of rat meat.. The smell of the salted meat made Isaac hungry, even if he had just ate on the boat. Isaac paid the man and smiled as he left.

His smile quickly disappeared as he realized he was wearing a robe with tears in it. Isaac didn't feel presentable in any way but he knew of no clothing stores around. Isaac saw Tylen walking about and decided to ask, "Excuse me Tylen, but you wouldn't happen to know of any kind of clothing store in Ebonheart would you?"

NOTE: I edited it Eiade

"I'm pretty sure that there aren't any clothiers here," replied Tylen. "This town lives and breathes the Empire. Home base to the Imperial Cult, and also home base to the biggest and most prestigious Imperial guard company in Morrowind: Hawkmoth. So there isn't much room for clothiers and the such."

Isaac: The owner of Six Fishes has no magicka-restoring food items. He has wickwheat, bread, rat meat, kresh fiber, alit hide, saltrice, scales, and trama root, along with any alcoholic drink you could want. Not much of a selection, and you are dissapointed.

OOC: That's what he really has in-game. But this whole only-buy-what-is-in-game thing is up in the air and may be shot down at any time. Just experimenting.

OOC: Hmm... Well since noone's really posting here, I guess noone has anything to say...

IC:

The party assembled at the entrance to Ebonheart, all with a decent amount of food, but not too much to way them down. Then they all headed north up the peninsula towards Vivec at a jog. They arrived in about ten minutes. The Hlaalu canton was conveniently the one farthest to the west, and the party crossed the bridge onto the massive structure.

"Okay," said Tylen. "We need to get to the cooking facilities. And even though I've been here countless times, I don't seem to recall where that is. We'll have to ask someone."

The party ran to their right, so they could walk up one of the huge tunnels that connected the floors. They ran into a Dunmer woman.

"Oh, hello," she said. "Well aren't we in a hurry?"

"Excuse me," said Tylen in a polite but rushed voice. "Can you tell us where the food for the feast is being cooked?"

"Oh, well you'll have to ask Master Crassius about that. He's in charge of the food. I can't wait. It's going to be a delightful feast. What with all of the richest and nicest people in the..."

The party ran off up the tunnel left her talking. Tylen knew his way around the canton well, which was expected. Once they arrived and the second floor, they ran out on to the tier, turned left, and headed towards entrance to the plaza. They opened the giant doors, and the huge atrium opened up to them. They went to the left, and burst into Curio Manor. A servant quickly walked up to them.

"Master Curio has instructed me that there will be no visitors," said the servant. "I'm sorry."

"Where is the food being cooked?" Ask Tylen, aggrivated.

"Well we're being catered by the No Name Club, out the door and all the way to your left." Once again the party promptly left and ran out to the No Name Club, and burst through the door. There was no sign of any cooking anywhere.

"Hello," said a Dunmer behind the counter. "My name is Brathus Dals, I own this place. What can I do for you?"

"Where is the food being cooked?!" Asked many members of the party.

"I'm not allowed to let anyone in the cooking area," said Brathus. "Especially the likes of you." Tylen reached across the counter and grabbed the man's shirt.

"Tell us, now," Tylen said through gritted teeth.

"No," said Brathus now visibly shaken. His eyes kept darting past Tylen, over to the wall behind them. Tylen let him go, and turned around. There was a door. He ran up to it. It was locked, quite securely.

"I'll call the guards if you don't leave now!" Said the owner. The party ignored him.

"Who can open locks?!" He said to the party.

OOC: Sorry for not posting for a while. I have been really sick and i have been sleeping...

IC: Daric steps forward and pulls back the arms of his robe back. He quickly scrolls through all the spells in his mind and remembers an old unlocking spell he knows. He reaches out to the door and cast the unlock spell. The Door shines purple... but remains locked... "Does anyone have a lockpick or a better unlocking spell??"

"I was always adept to Alteration." Isaac said. "Unlocking was one of the first things I ever learned!" Isaac said excitidly, as he knew he could help the party. He remembered the withing 3 seconds and the familiar traits of the spell leaped to the front of his mind. Following, his fingers began to make quick decisive movements and purple appeared at the tips of of them. Isaac touched the handle and the door glowed...

The lock opens with a satisfying click.

The party entered the door, walked down a very short hall, and came to a trapdoor. This one was unlocked. Tylen opened the door, and a mouth-salivating smell wafted up into the hall.

"Smells really good," someone commented. The six of them descended down the short ladder to the floor, and looked around. A dark elf passed by them. He had on a waist apron, which had many grease stains and food splatters on it. He stopped and turned to the party.

"Who are you?" He asked with a contemptuous tone.

"We're, uh..." Tylen sputtered out. "Inspectors from House Hlaalu. We're making sure everything is running smoothly." Tylen stood up straight and looked the man in the eye. The Dunmer gave a scornful look, then continued on down the room.

Tylen turned to the other five of them.

"Okay," he said. "What do we do now?"

OOC: I have attached a overhead view of the room that we're in. Yes, it really does exist in-game. The red X is where we are standing at the moment. You'll have to use your imaginations and picture ovens and pots and pans and counters with dough and vegetables, and all that good stuff. I figure that people in an RP have good imaginations. The cooking is happening throughout the entire floor.
