Harver
:: Harvers back straightens out as he tries to look official. He cocks over a bit to Tylen and whispers:: We are either going to have to ruin the wine or destroy all that we can. Unles it hasn't been poisoned yet, we don't have much choice. Crim, The Red Thunder
do we know how the wine is going to be poisoned? Any ideas on what poison will be used? Maybe there's some way to test this? OOC: My other idea is to take a page from FB and pull a weird spell use out of my ass. How about a neutralize poison (cure poison, whatever poison) spell on the wine casks? Or whereever it is stored? but im not posting that... yet. tyjet3
Daric listened to Wren's quick questions and got an idea (this is actually Crim's idea, sorry to steal it... but if you meantion it IC, i will give you cerdit) Daric turns to Tylen, "How much time do we have?? Can me and Isaac work on something really quick??"
Eiade
"Well," Tylen responded. "Hmm... I guess we do have time. We got here early enough. It's about 4 o'clock. The feast won't be til later on tonight." He looked around the room. "But be quick about it. We don't want to attract any unwanted attention. These guys already seem quite ill-disposed towards us." OOC: I've got the attachment function figured out. I figured out that the picture has to be a jpeg, not a bitmap. Check out my last post on page 10 to see what the area looks like. Crim, The Red Thunder
Wren turns to Isaac and Daric, and asks "What are you planning, and is there any way i can help?" OOC: Go ahead Tyjet... apparently, the DM's DO like my idea... or one of them at least. i didn't think it worthwhile! For anyone who still doesn't know, FB is an abbreviation for FlightlessBird.Just in case the DM (one of them anyway) wasn't the only one who was lost. Looking at the picture, there are no wine casks, only crates and barrels, do we imagine the casks, or assume that the wine is in barrels? Is it necessarily wine or could food be poisoned as well? Furthermore, some book i seem to recall wine being served hot. (I don't drink, so i wouldn't know) and someone was poisoned not by the wine itself, but by the water they had added to cool it down... the water being poisoned. Tyjet, i didn't mention it earlier, if your idea goes through, don't forget we can use potions too! Spike the wine! WHEE!!!! (Just like those days as an assassin... ahhh, sweet memories.) FlightlessBird
"What do you have in mind Daric?" Isaac asked inquisitivly. The only thing Isaac could think of was a cure poison spell (thanks Crim) on the Casks of wine and Isaac was terrible at casting restoration spells. Hopefully Darics idea would be more easy for Isaac to perform than restoration spells
Eiade
Tylen primped the expensive clothing under his clean bonemold armor, and decided to look around. He went through the way to the right. In this room, there were cooks tossing and kneading dough, with many ceramic trays hold soon-to-be rolls and loaves. There was an island counter where a few men worked on chopping and dicing vegetables and raw meat to be added to a stir-fry. This was basically a preparation room. He continued on. The second room contained a few fire-heated stoves, on top of which sat pots and pans, some containing boiling water, some containing rice or noodles. On the opposite wall there was a grill that consisted of a thick sheet of iron that was placed over a long fire that heated the metal. On the grill there were many cooking meats, some big slabs, and some diced up. There were two dunmer chefs positioned at the grill, turning and flipping the meat accordingly, and occasionally adding spices. There was rat, hound, and also some guar meat that was being cooked. Tylen's mouth watered, but then he remembered that any of this could be poisoned or become poisoned. He continued. He came to a hallway, its walls lined with burlap sacks containing raw vegetables and rice. He came to a turn in the hallway, and at the corner there were barrels containing... well, he didn't really know. He turned the corner, and the new directioned hall was relatively unused. He came back to the main room where the party was. In the corner opposite to the trapdoor entrance, there were many crates, stacked on eachother. There were two smaller rooms that faced this room. He approached the one farthest from the entrance, which had a closed door. He tried to turn the handle. Locked? Hmm... That was peculiar. It was locked very securely too; not only was the handle mechanism locked, but by looking at the light that was seeping through the crack, one could see that a deadbolt lock held the actual door into place. He moved to the second room. This one's door was wide open, and inside a dark elf worked with some bags and barrels of food. He heaved up a large sack of saltrice, and carried it out to the preparation kitchen. He gave Tylen an odd look as he passed. Tylen approached the others, and told them about his scouting of the place and what he saw. "Vallrey," he said. "We need you to go up to the tavern, order a drink or something, and keep a look out. No offense, but your ranger attire doesn't exactly scream 'Hlaalu Inspector.'" "No problem," responded Vallrey. "I understand. You can count on me." With that he climbed the ladder and left. "Don't lean against things. It doesn't look very good," said Tylen. "So what exactly are you guys doing?"
tyjet3
Daric then quickly turned to Vallrey "Hey, order the drink... DON'T drink it..." Vallrey turned to Daric and smiled and said, "I wasn't planing on it anyway." He turned and climbed up the ladder. Daric then turned to Isaac... "I was thinking maybe we could do a Cure Poison spell... but I don't think that will work... The poison spell is designed to cure blood, not wine... Blood has a biological characteristic... Wine is an aged, "dead" drink... I'm afraid that idea won't work..." Daric turned to Tylen... "Did you say something about a locked door?? Tah really doesn't seem right... I think it might be a good idea to open that door... or maybe we should wait until it is opened and then we see what they bring out or we could even sneak someone in with an invisibilty spell... Who here knows a that spell??" Daric turns to the rest of the group and awaits a response.
Crim, The Red Thunder
"I know the spell..." said Wren, "But i can't guarantee it's success. Im a sneaking archer/knight, not a mage. But i do sneak, and i trained in illusion under 2 seperate mages (both a short period, for flavor purposes... and both are now dead...) but didn't really master the school. I could try." She looks over the group. Then she adds to Daric "Could'nt you whip up some cure poison potions and spike the wine? Then, even if they drink the poison, they are drinking the antidote too." OOC: Did you see the edited post above about using potions too? just wonderin...
FlightlessBird
"Well spiking the wine with cure poison potions could work, but if the poison is strong, its a risk that we are in no position to take. We need a solid plan." Isaac thought again. "I need some time to think. I'm not one to think up something foolproof quickly." With that, Isaac began to walk around the room acting like he was inspecting.
