Eiade
"Then lets do it," said Tylen with resolve. "Isaac, we're going to need your best fire spell, it would be best if it had a radius. Now... what to set ablaze?" Tylen looked around the room and tried to think of what would burn well. The furniture would definitely catch and burn for a long time, but it was away from the food. "Maybe we could tell the people in the preparation rooms that they're needed in Curio Manor. That would give us time to set fire to the preparation kitchen without anyone seeing us. Then we would go invisible, and get the hell out of here as fast as we can." Tylen grabbed two oil lamps, their reserves full of flammable oil. "This will definitely help us." Tylen blew out the lamp, and screwed the wick and flame guard off. He now had an open glass container of oil. Tylen went to the unused hall, the one that led away from the trapdoor. He peered around the corner. All of the cooks were too busy making sure that the meat was just right. He doused the bags of food stuffs with the oil. He went back to the room where the party sat, and into the smaller room where more food sacks were kept, and doused those in oil as well. He walked into the preparation kitchen and told the cooks that they were needed in Curio Manor. They asked him why and he responded with an harsh tone at them, pretending that they didn't want to make the inspectors angry. They hustled out, then Tylen and Daric doused the entire preparation kitchen with oil. The party regrouped back at the main room. "Okay," said Tylen. "Isaac, set fire to the bags in the unused hallway first. Work systematically and cast a fire spell on every place that is oiled. Wren, you will cast your longest invisibility spell on all of us, with Isaac and I last. Daric, keep Wren's magicka high with potions. Go!" FlightlessBird
Isaac smiled with an excited look in his eye. "Tylen, you just pitched that plan straight down my ally. Let me get to work." Isaacs smile faded slowly as he walked towards the hallway. Abruptly, Isaac turned and said, "Wait, shouldn't someone inform Vallrey?" He turned back to his job and removed his robe. It might catch fire in the blaze and endanger himself and the party. He closed his eyes and racked his memory of his best fire spells. There are so many... but which one... Ah... Isaac opened his eyes, which were now reflecting the image of fire in his mind. He held his staff tight in his hands, and an orange aura faintly surrounded it. He brought his left hand away from the staff, the cold air a releif to his skin as it separated from the more-than-warm staff. Isaac brought the spell body to the head of his staff, and let it fly from his mind towards the oil soaked baskets.
tyjet3
Right as Isaac cast the spell, Vallrey climbed down the ladder. He looked at the group and said "Hey, why did they lea.... Oh!!" In the middle of the sentence, Vallrey noticed the large flames in one corner of the room. Daric continued to hand Wren potions as he cast himself and Daric into invisiblity. Wren downed another potion and cast invisibily on the stunned Vallrey. Isaac continued to launch balls of fire all over the room. Most parts of the room were no a flame. They would have to get out soon... smoke was starting to fill the room.
Crim, The Red Thunder
OOC: DAMN! I came by last night, and posted, and now my topic subscription is screwed over... Son of Morgothian ORC! IC: Wren finishes casting invisibility on everyone except isacc, who is busy burning everything in sight. She finishes with Tylen, and waits for Isacc to finish before casting on him."Daric, maybe you should try a fire sheild spell on him... to protect him." OOC: Look's like we have a pyromaniac here...
Eiade
Isaac launched fireball after fireball at his targets, each spell successful. Once the place was ablaze and becoming uncomfortable hot, Wren had finished casting her spells on the party. "Run!" Said Tylen. "If we get separated, meet up in front of the Foreign Quarter Canton, near the silt strider port!" Vallrey heard, but didn't see, five of his friends running toward him, and scrambled up the ladder. The five mates ran into the tavern invisible, but it didn't do much to hide their noisy presence. The owner blindly threw a throwing knife at the party, and it hit Tylen in the shoulder. Tylen gritted his teeth through the pain and pulled out the knife, then threw it back to keep the owner's head down. They left the tavern, ran out to into the plaza, and made a break for the huge doors. From inside the No Name Club, the voice of the owner screamed "Stop them! They're outlaws!" All the ordinators in the plaza bolted towards their noise. The party heaved open the doors, and ran out. They were on the top 'floor.' "Jump," said Tylen. "There is no other choice." OOC: Write inner reactions to what's going on, and narrate your jump off the canton into the water 40 meters below.
Crim, The Red Thunder
Wren ran towards the edge, fearful of the armed and very imposing ordinators behind her... a friend of hers tangled with an ordinator once... and their wasn't much left of him afterwords. *I vow to return and pay for the damage we have caused here. I hope their is no loss of innocent life.* As she reached the edge, she made a flying leap off the canton into the water below, Swan-diving in near silence into the water, never once disturbing the tranquil surface. tyjet3
Daric, hearing Tylen's command, let out a sigh... oh boy... Daric looked down in to the water... He wasn't absolutely excited about a 40 meter drop... He didn't fear heights, but 40 meters was a long way to fall. Daric started thinking about what he had just done... He was just involved in a unbelieveably terrible crime. They had just set fire to a Hlaalu canton... Sweet Neveraine... This was crime not very common, but Daric was sure the punishment would match the crime... Daric ran to the edge and leaped into the air. As he fell, he quickly cast slowfall on himself and landed in the water with almost no splash.
FlightlessBird
They ran through canton and the edge was coming up. They can't possibly mean to jump... Isaac though with almost certainty. His opinion changed as Tylen, Daric, and Wren went flying over in front of him. Then Isaac realized that his journal was still with him. He removed it from the strap on his belt and held it as he reached the final step. Isaac brought his leg up for the final jump over the rail, and threw his journal as hard as he could towards the edge of the water, hoping it would land on solid ground. In his haste to dispose of his journal, he had not realized that his foot clipped the edge of the railing, causing him to stumble into a momentum carried fall to the water below. You've got to be kidding m...
Eiade
The six invisible party members splashed into the water, their bodies traveling 10 feet down before they could begin to swim back up. They made it to the bank of the lake, and by now they were pretty much fully visible, due to the fact that they were soaked with water. The six of them ran off away from the canton, and met up at the silt strider port, where their invisibiliy spells finally wore off. All of them wore clothes that would begin to smell if they weren't dried within the hour, and Wren knew that she had to try to dry her steel armor before it was weakened by rust. Tylen's long black hair clung to his face, and he rung some water out of his hair and tied it back in a ponytail. "I guess it would probably be best if we just left for the tomb now," suggested Tylen. "They know what direction we went and they will be looking for us. We must hurry. Ordinators are fast, effective, and determined." They all waited a bit to catch their breath. "The next event is the destruction of the Hlaalu Tomb. I've been there. It's located southeast of Molag Mar, along the riverbank. Molag Mar, as most of us know, is located far east from here. I think the best way to get there would be by canoes. Most areas are too shallow and have to many rocks for a larger boat. The Dren Plantation might have canoes that they're willing to loan us, as long as we have the right amount of gold. Shall we go there? I think I have a few connections at the plantation, some old friends might still work there." It was about 5 in the evening. Yhe sky began to achieve an orange-ruddy color, and the sun was almost at the horizon but covered up by clouds. The party took of once again at a nice jog, this time shivering a bit in their water-logged condition. They traveled north up the path, soon to be at the Dren Plantation, which was owned by one of the most powerful men in Vvardenfell, Orvas Dren, the most influential Hlaalu Councilman. OOC: Do some RPing and write about the jog, and your soaking clothes. Make sure to do something about your wet equipment.
FlightlessBird
Running was not the easiest thing for Isaac, as his foot ached from hitting it on the edge and apparently bending it the wrong way afterwards. His robe was beyond repair, because the water was all it needed to become a torn, waterloged rag. Not to mention he would soon be in the presence of one of the most powerful men in Vvardenfell soon, or at least one of his subjects. When it rains it pours... he thought. Still disappointed at the fact that he didnt have decent clothes, Isaac tried to run in sunlight as he held two things in the sun. First and foremost, his research journal in his right hand to keep it dry, and secondly his belt and satchels, which were also soaked. He knew he had to put his journal somewhere, and his stachels where managing to dry reasonably fast.
