War of the Grand Council: The Lost Documents

"Of course we're not going to steal them. That would be folly. We're going to ask to pay a certain amount, and we'll hopefully bring the boats back... Actually, I'm not counting on bringing the boats back, but once they realize that we're trying to save House Hlaalu, I don't think they'll mind."

Tylen reached over to the rock and grabbed the Indoril letter. It had been laminated with wax, so the water hadn't done anything to it. He began to read it again. And a troubled look came over his face.

"Several times in this letter, the writer mentions some collection of writings that could bring about the fall of House Hlaalu. I have no idea what they're talking about. A collection of writings or documents? How could a few documents have written within them something that, once revealed, could destroy the most powerful of the Great Houses of Morrowind?"

Tylen was bothered, and he furrowed his brow.

OOC: Well guys we'll have to take a break for a few days until Christmas time has come and gone. We're all busy and you guys probably don't need to be thinking about an RP when there are a bajillion other things going on. I will make my next post when it seems the right time to pick things up again.

OOC: Let's dive right back in! The RP continues now!

IC:

All the party members were now all dried off, and had been pleasantly warmed in the afternoon sun. The six companions put all of their clothes back on and donned their armor once again, and they were off.

It took no more than 6 or 7 minutes to reach the plantation at a jog. The plantation was surrounded by a terra cotta wall, 10 feet tall. The main entry way was an opening in the wall wide enough to fit at least 20 men shoulder-to-shoulder. The plantation was very busy at this time, there were slaves at work in the small fields, merchants and slaves tugging carts full of trade goods such as saltrice, wickwheat, marshmerrow, and other mass-farmed items. The slavemasters' yells were brutal and their words full of venom, and the Khajiit and Argonians passively obeyed as best they could. The 'street' was lined with shacks where slaves and even free people lived. This was practically a town. There were a few free women sitting in crude chairs mashing raw materials into meal with a huge mortar and pestle, and others were weaving baskets or making clothing. Tylen spotted a plume of black smoke to his left. There was a blacksmith at his forge, currently pulling a red-hot sabre out of the kiln and striking it with all his might with a master's armorer hammer. He was a muscular Nord, blonde hair in a ponytail and tatoos on his body.

"If anyone needs their armor or weapons mended," said Tylen, "now is the time."

Daric lifted his eyelids and scanned the area... He had heard what comments had been made. Daric hated slavery, he beleived that they would one day be liberated and a revolution would begin. And when it does, Daric will be on the front lines of that battle.

He knew it was best to keep these comments to himself so he simple looked over to Tylen and responded, "I will keep my mouth shut."

Isaac then looked at Daric and gave him a supportive smile. Daric thought it was great to have a good friend like him.

With the leather now dry, Daric started putting his armor back on. Piece by piece. Soon after, he was ready to keep on treking. He sat down again and awaited everyone else. Feeling hungry, he grabbed a piece of meat and chewed and shallowed it.

Tylen then called out, "If anyone needs their armor or weapons mended, now is the time."
