Isaac sees Daric and Wren both looking at the sail, and puts his potions back in his pocket. He racks his brain for possible Ideas to fix the sail. Well... I could form a magic patch for it... I'd need Darics help though. Plus I might use up valuable magic... We could have someone fix it... I wonder if anyone knows how... Maybe the captain knows how... His squinted his eyes as he looked at the sun. they had lost valuable time and needed a solution.

"Well whatever we do to fix that sail, its gotta get done quick. We lost time in that battle.

OOC: Flightlessbird: There is no spell existing in the MW world that can fix a sail. According to the rules we have laid down, it can't be allowed.

IC:

Captian Waylas walked over to the torn sail, and took a hanging piece of it in his hand.

"We can still move, but not nearly as fast," he said. "It'll probably take us three or four hours to even get to Hla Oad from here."

Waylas pondered for a while. Jeline walked over and gave her input on the situation.

"You know what?" She said. "It might even be faster for your group if we made for the coast right now, and you all ran the rest of the way."

"No," said Tylen. "We're actually headed off the coast." Waylas and Jeline were confused and looked at Tylen strangely.

"Look," said Tylen again. "We're trying to stop a ship from being attacked, and the attack is supposed to happen on the water." He addressed the party. "It's about 9 am. According to the letter, the attack will be in two and a half hours or so. What do you all suggest we do?"

:: Harver heads pans side to side. He steps forward::

Well, if someone has a touch of thin rope and something to pierce the sail with, we might be able to do a quick fix on it. Its either that or we figure out a way to row.

OOC: watches in horror as Eiade uses his horrible DM powers to run at flightlessbird and rip his head off for blasphemey. Let this be a lesson to all rp'ers. DON'T screw with the DMs. Even if it WAS an accident <_<, they will still rip your head off. (I was just thinking it, not suggesting it.)

:P

This is a public service message for RP'ERS of MSF brought to you by the recently named headless and flightless-bird foundation.

OOC: Haver, Eiade and I seem to have problems with this sign in stuff... we are retarded... As a DM, I apologize... We will make sure this doesn't happen again... I know why it happened and I will explain just so everyone knows. People may have noticed that Eiade doesn't post as often as he did in the Everyday RP... well the reason is this: he's computer has been started taking acid, and some angel dust... it's really acting wierd, in other words. The problem shall be fixed very soon. Eiade was using Harver's (his college roommate) computer to post. Once the computer is fixed, there won't be a problem again. We are very sorry once gain. I have probably wasted about 20 seconds of everyone's life that reads this...

IC: Daric turns over to Isaac... "I was just thinking about something... Do you think maybe if we both use a shield spell, it will be strong enough to actually have a force field sturdy enough to push the ship? I have never really researched this before... Do you know if it's possible?"

OOC: I meant no harshness ^_^ . I was trying to be tactful.

IC:

"It would probably be best to use Harver's idea of trying to mend it," said Tylen. "Rather then attempt a theory based on speculation that has never been tried. No offense to anyone of course."

((OOC: I suggest that we cease the OOC's. We're breaking character too often. Also, if we could do sometime like the double parentheses around the OOC's. Makes the post look a little neater, in my opinion))

::Harver nods to the captain.::

Do you have some thinner rope and maybe something like an ice pick or a knife? We'll also need another length of rope to pulley whoever does the patching upwards.

OOC: <- (bite me Harver :P ) No offence taken. Yeah Eiade, I was just playin. Figured I'd make an example to the other people while I was at it. Plus I now want to Dub Harver the ''cleanly post'' guy of the rp... Jk harver... Sorry I"ll stop... ^_^

Ahem...

IC: "Tylens right Daric. Using a shield spell might work, but if it doesnt then its wasted magic. We should try not to use much magic anyway. I think its best to save it for the inevitable battle up ahead." Isaac waited for Harver to to begin to repair the mast. I wonder if we can discharge anything from the ship to increase speed...No, its not our ship...I could...no...waste of magic... Isaac thought. He continued to rack his brain for ideas that would make them go faster while he waited, but his weren't linear, fuzzy at best.

Vallréy stood about, not knowing what to do or how to do it, he waited for someone to either fix the sail or ask him to help doing it, meanwhile, he inspected his cape to see if the Cliffracer had done any damage to it.
