Noob asking for Help: Armor Model -Blender into fallout

hi, i never do a mod for any game, ever, but i want to start with fallout 3, i want to build a armor, ant his texture, i already take 4 days of my life to learn how to build in blender, that is the easy part, make a mesh is relative easy, i download the malos tutorial for export the mesh (armor) from blender to nifskoope, and here is where i hit a wall....

i parent the mesh to the bones, and test it and works, but i dont understand very well what to do next with nifskope, someone can help?, there is a step by step tutorial that explain nifskope a little better?

 

i need to do something special in blender, metal, texture, etc, to export as .nif to load into nifskope?.

why ask to load the original vault suit besides the armor that i build and the malos body replacer?

 

the malos tutorial is ok, good for start, but maybe i miss something, again, i never ever do a modd for any game.

this is what i do, step by step, following malos tutorial:

 

1 open blender (v. 248.1)

2 import the malos body (included in the tutorial)

3 build a VERY VERY simple armor for testing.

4 make the armor parent to the bones of the malos body: CTR+P > ARMATURE > CREATE FROM BONE HEAT

(i dont know if this is correct, malo doesnt say nohting about this) (IMAGE 2)

5 do a UV map: key U > Unwrap (smart projections) (dont know if this choice is ok)

6 add a very simple texture (.dds), moving from ORCO to UV (as the malos tutorial say)

7 export the .nif with the configuration showing in the image below (IMAGE 1)

8 a warning apears (IMAGE 3) i back to the model press CTR+A and choice: "Scale and rotation to OBdata" (not a clue if this is the correct chocie, but the tutorial doesnt say anything)

9 export again, all ok, no warnings (i think).

 

10 Open nifskope

11 open my test.nif

12 texture and armor shows in the window (IMAGE 4)

13 now malos say this for my test.nif (IMAGE 5)

14 but this is how looks on my test.nif (IMAGE 6)

numbers are not the same, but the "NiTrishapeData" is there but with diferent number.

here i stop, because i dont know if im on the righ path or i hit a wall.....

 

--And only for know: why malo ask to open: my test.nif, the malos "femaleupperbody.nif", AND a vault suit .nif from the original game???

i know that is for replacing, but the vault suit is nesessary?--

Puedes usar esto tutorial. Los NIF scripts son mas nuevos ahora y no se necesita hacer todos los partes dificiles del tutorial de Malo. Hay un parte cerca del fin que dice que hacer con NifSkope. Ahorita Blender puede exportar (verbo correcto?) los partes del cuerpo y no se necesita usar Nifty si no quiere.

 

El tutorial es solamente ingles porque solamente se un poco de espanol.

(Translation of my poor and informal Spanish for English speakers: You can use this tutorial. The NIF scripts are newer now and it is not necessary to do all the hard parts in Malo's tutorial. There is a part near the end that says what to do with NifSkope. Blender can export the body parts and it is not necessary to use Nifty if you don't want to.

 

The tutorial is only English; my Spanish is not good enough to do it in another language.
