Ad Opt-In

After taking a look at the article on the front of the Nexus sites regarding a price increase for Premium memberships, I got to thinking.. There are quite a few premium members who seem to be perfectly O.K. with the idea of having ads on their browsing experience, even when they're paying for premium. I feel like having a little check box somewhere on your profile preferences for the main Nexus sites to opt-in to ads would be an awesome feature and help keep a steady stream of revenue for one of our favorite portals.

 

I know there are obviously people who pay for the subscriptions just to avoid ads - that's A-OK. That's the entire purpose so don't feel like I'm suggesting this is something you HAVE to do. I just think there would probably be a surprising number of people who feel like they want to give back, even if it is something as small as ad revenue.
