More mods = more things they touched = more chance for bugs. More mods = more time to find out which mods caused which bugs. All objective problems. Yep, but when you know how to resolve the issues and avoid the pitfalls, it's not a problem. The engine does what you tell it to. If you tell it to do too much, or in a contradictory way, then yes: you get problems. But I minimize the risks, and everything works fine. This of course is only possible if you know what the mods are doing, and that's where experience comes into it: I'm a developer, and a modmaker, so I know what the mods do from the ground up, and when needed I can fix them. It's not easy, but it's that simple.

Hope this helps someone in the future! PS: I have 767 mods running and 254 active plugins, it's totally not a problem lol I should add as a caveat that this solution has only been according to my single use case, and I haven't tried to replicate it otherwise. Someone also suggested that the Blood Decal Flashing Fix mod is another solution which recently came out, but I haven't tried this either.
