ok i pretty much have 3 big questions -

1.) which mod gives trees to fallout the best?

2.) i'v heard of a mod called evergreen (i first found the XFO site and the links wont work), and i cant find it :wallbash: :verymad: :wallbash:

3.) how realistic is a green fallout? i know it doesnt make sence w/ previous fallout games, but scientificly, how real is it?

judging from the amount of feedback ive seen from other peoples posts, i doubt anyone will answer me, but ill try anyways  !!

well scientifically it would probably be pretty accurate because it's bin about 100ish years since the bombs fell and nature shows us when a calamity happens vegetation would grow back, but there's the question of dust cloud blocking the sun, water without toxins in it to give the vegetation nourishment. But i'm sure there would be SOMETHING after that time period.

Well actually, the dust is up above the clouds, in the high atmosphere, so it wouldn't rain out. That, in fact, is the real problem - it gets up there and won't go away, and so it blocks out sunlight. Add that to smoke from a thousand burning cities, and you have quite a lot of cooling and thus - nuclear winter.

Current theories suggest nuclear winter would only last a couple of years though. It wouldn't be permenant, and eventually all that junk in the upper atmosphere would disapate. That would be the time period when you'd see the planetary desert we seem to have going on in the Fallout games (not that California/the west is that far from a desert to begin with).

However, after 200 years, old seeds would have long begun to sprout (some seeds can life a LOOOONG time), so the world would largely be green again, especially if there weren't a lot of humans to keep the garden trimmed.

Radiation and other garbage would hardly be an issue; nature thrives regardless. Just look at Chernobyl. The worst nuclear disaster in human history, and twenty years later, it's a thriving oasis of green. A little more cancer and genetic damage than most places, sure, but alive.

IIRC, the makers of the games admit they've taken a lot of creative liberties to get the right post-apocalyptic feel to the world of Fallout. As Farmerfez and Pax1138 said, plantlife would return pretty quickly. On the other hand, cities hit with nuclear weapons would be completely devastated, without really leaving a lot of explorable buildings short of burnt-out frames.

So, realistically, there should be a lot more green and a lot less ruins.

But its ''The Fallout Dynasty'' so it will stay just like it, Ruins, Radiation, Raiders, and just Fertile Soil With Plants in the Oasis. Just Until............ YOU GET THE GECK!! And recover the whole planet from Deadly Levels of Radiation and Unfertile soil.... Well there is your anwser you just need to get the GECK

Jajaja well but 2077 to 2277 it would lower the radiation levels for Mother Nature to continue its Normal Course in Earth.
