drkmaggot
I've been playing Fallout 3 for a while now and recently got Operation Anchorage, I love the look of the stealth armor and after looking at the textures for it I just thought of making a normal map that would fit my taste better. It is just a simple normal map edit at the moment adding the scratches and textures on the diffuse to give the worn out look a bit more focus. Also in game it gives off a bit more shine making it look less Dull. Also added a suddle glow to the visor and the little LEDs looking things on the suit. Here are some screenshots for you guys, these are real time screenshots from 3Ds Max which give a pretty good idea of the final result. http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/289/stealthmax01.jpgBy dark_maggot at 2009-03-21 http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/4338/stealthmax03.jpgBy dark_maggot at 2009-03-21 http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/5131/stealthmax02.jpgBy dark_maggot at 2009-03-21 And here are screenshots in game, for some reason the body and gloves normal maps only show when you are in sneak mode. I just copied over the originals with my edits to the fallout3/data/textures/dlcanch/armor/chinesestealtharmor but I just don't know why the normal is not working the way it is supposed to in the body. And also would really like to add the glow on the visor but I just got into modding fallout 3 recently and can't seem to find a good retexturing tutorial using the GECK. Help would be greatly appreciated. http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/5479/stealth01.jpgBy dark_maggot at 2009-03-21 http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/5205/stealth02.jpgBy dark_maggot at 2009-03-21"that was exactly what I thought in that moment" Well guys, hope you like my edit and can help me with the problem. Cheers.
