shamino05
I am learning how to use the creation kit, and have been playing around with one of the mods I like, and it was all working well. I was adding and rearranging and changing paintings and so on, was cool and was having a grand ole time, until I loaded the CK up the other day and to my shock and horror no walls are showing up in CK, so I have no idea where or what I am doing, little known where to place things or even how to get the walls to show again. I do not know how or why this has happened, but it is the exact same with every mod I load up in CK. I will try and add an image of what i mean to this message, from which I hope you can ease my very lost and confused mind lol Please help me, any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated, thank you. Until I hear from you, which I hope I do, please keep well and please be safe. Shamino
gettps
Not sure exactly. The "!" means it can't find the mesh for the objects. Maybe you accidentally moved the folders around? Were those vanilla walls or modded?
NexBeth
The changes you made resulted in the game no longer able to read the items you used. In other works, each item (known as MESHES) in the CK/GAME is referenced in the skyrim directory under MESHES. If things are renamed, or moved, then so must it's place in the MESHES directory. If you are using someone else's mod, they probably packed their MESHES and TEXTURES in to their own compressed file. What ever changes you made is not going to carry over just by moving objects in the CK. You're best bet for learning how to use the CK, or building structures is to go through a tutorial. Myself, I started out by using this tutorial.http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/forum/114-creation-kit-basics/
shamino05
Its the same with every mod I load up in creation kit, not has wall, floors or roofs.
NexBeth
And that simply means that those meshes are not in the correct skyrim directory. Are you manually trying to install the mod or are you using a mod manager?
