Soft save corruption? Crashing on save load

I've spent the last few days trying to figure out why my game is randomly creating saves that crash when I try to load them. My game is perfectly stable otherwise. But sometimes when I save my game, the created save will not load under any circumstances. It instantly CTDs as soon as I try to load it. Sometimes I can load the save from the main menu, but if I try to load the same save while in-game it instantly CTDs at the loading screen. The problem has definitely been getting worse over time. I have about 25 hours on this character and didn't have any problems like this when I first started playing. But more and more often now when I save, the save will not load and insta-CTDs.

I don't actually have any problems in the game normally, everything works fine, no random CTDs or errors during play. It just randomly creates saves that won't load (except sometimes they load from the main menu, not in-game). At this point I am beginning to suspect that my save has suffered some kind of soft corruption. But the game doesn't tell me my save is corrupt.

I am an experienced modder but I've really been pulling my hair out over this. I have 700 mods but even with most of them disabled (most, because my game will not load without some of them enabled) the save still crashes on load. I have a save that loads consistently from the main menu, but instantly crashes when loaded from in-game. I tried cleaning the save with FallrimTools but no dice. And on the save that I cleaned, my game actually crashed when I made a new save, which never happened before.

Every time it crashes I get a different crash log. The one consistent thing that shows up in them is frequent references to 'BGSLoadFormBuffer'. I couldn't find anything on Google about that but from the name I suspect it could be related to how the game loads saves.

Here is the most recent crash log.

I appreciate any help.
