Vanilla armor replacer not showing up

I installed several vanilla armor replacers, but when I load up the game it just shows the vanilla armor. The armor replacers that have an esp file work fine, but the ones without an esp don't seem to want to work for me. I know I installed them correctly. It's just drag and drop the meshes into the right place.

 

I have Windows 7. I disabled UAC, and moved my Steam/Oblivion install to a different location.

 

What do you think could be wrong?

That fixed it :smile:. Doing that seems to have messed up the skin texture though. I'm using the hgec body mod. I'll take some screen shots and post them in a minute.

I reinstalled the body mod, replaced the textures with ones from a different race, and I tried making a character of a different race, but they all look like this.

Could be a load order issue. Get BOSS - that will sort your .esp so that there will be minimal conflicts (I already see one potential problem in that you have .esp files loaded before the Unoffocial Oblivion Patch).

I let BOSS fix my load order, but the skin textures are still messed up. :\
