Just wanted to add a mod suggestion.

 

I was thinking for Power Armors, you or someone else could make "integration variants", which would basically be that instead of putting the Power Armor on, the android integrates it within her (and eventually his) body, which of course includes certain perks, pros, cons, different outward appearance of the android itself, etc.

 

Also, if you could come up with some sort of HUD for the androids. This idea came to me after I made my first android character, when I had a choice between the digitized eyes.There's this one mod that adds a somewhat futuristic touch to the current HUD that scans the environment on its own occasionally and can determine what's hostile and what's not for example.If you could make something like that for the "base mod", that would be a lot more immersive. Of course, adding this, along with the idea I had for Power Armor, and providing a patch for support with Powered Power Armor, the player would truly feel like a sophisticated piece of technology.

 

This being said, I know this sounds like a lot, and it is. I have zero experience in scripting, modeling, texturing, and so on, which is why I'm in school for programming (although that's an almost entirely different branch of knowledge on its own), but I know what I'm asking for may be too much for the game to handle or breaks the game's limits, but it you could compromise for at least the futuristic HUD idea, I believe that would be a very good addition to an already outstanding mod.

I have something in mind. It's more aesthetic than functional.

 

Depending on the hardware (and the upgrades), some changes in the face and/or body textures.

If you can't remove the blood, change the color of it. That would look like oil or something like that.

If this is possible, when a certain amount of life (in %) is reached, add some electric sparkles effects. (with sounds, that would be cool)

 

Oh! and for hardcore players, instead of stimpacks, you create another kind of "weapon repair kit" (by toggling that feature in the MCM menu). For people that can afford, creating new npc's that can repair you, in exchange for caps (another money, depending their factions?)

Everyone in the game use the same blood texture. Human NPCs with... Oil? Creepy! haha

I'm still researching it, i'll see if I can change the blood.

 

The Sparkles effects is in my plans already :D

 

All the food, aid, chems, everything will be changed. New misc items, crafting, new drugs.

You'll not have the option to heal with doctors. New NPCs, and machines that will do it.

And for the "oil" , I was thinking about movies (Aliens). When robots lose parts they "bleed" some weird liquid.

 

 

OOOH! another thing with body textures. When in HP mode, add a pulsing effect on base color when life is critical (again: if this is possible)

Ok...idea time...

 

How about...make the Implants from the Followers Clinic unavailable unless the ARES goes through Big MT and gets the cybernetic upgrades from there (which in their case...would be puting organic components in to replace/augment the original mechanical bits) Though...that might just be more tedious than it's worth.

 

Really...there is a lot in the DLC that could work well with the ARES bots...Old World Blues for a lot of super-upgrades...and Lonesome Road...it hints to an origin story for the Courier to begin with...but the Facility there could also be the place where the ARES bots were converted for military use, with a little sidequest where you search for others to try and reactivate...or maybe even find a chassis to upload the LR ED-E to. (Main ED-E should stay an Eyebot in my opinion...at least until "ED-E My Love" is finished).

Sierra Madre has some advanced tech...but it can all also be found in Big MT...

 

Oh, and for TTW...maybe a recipe that converts the Alien Epoxy into a healing/DT booster. Maybe even throw some in New Vegas at the alien crash site (though you need wild wasteland to even see it...so maybe not.)

Well, can not say I'm going to use everything that is here. But anyway, all suggestions I'm saving in a text file and I will put it all together to find a story in the end. So can be used or not their ideas, which I think very interesting. We're already developing her main story, so all suggestions are being discussed to see if fits with the story.
