FerrFerr
Others have already given good advice on possible hardware issues. These would very likely occur with other software (especially other games), too, So, what about other games? Do they crash as well? If they don't and the computer seems to work otherwise, you can delete the whole Skyrim SE folder and redownload the game from Steam. Why delete? Disabling or uninstalling mods doesn't necessarily mean you really got a "clean" setup. There may still be some left over parts of previously installed mods that cause this issue. If you delete the whole Skyrim SE folder, these remnants will be gone for sure. For your first tests after a complete reinstall, don't install anything else. Just try to play the game without any mods and see how it goes. If the Vanilla game is stable, you can start adding mods again (prefereably one by one or in small batches, always with testiIn bethesda games they dont crash some few minutes after playingFallout 4 For example, yes it doesnt run that great but it without mods it runs fine, with the really rare CTD hours after playing, of course with mods there's more of a chance it happens. So I'll do a clean install and see if it fixes it. Well, that worked so far! started a new save and played all the way up to reaching whiterun and so far no freezes. Considering that in the previous install it would freeze without any mods or SKSE, i think this is overall pretty good, no clue exactly what could have caused it tho maybe some old file that was still lingering in the documents folder. FerrFerr
Found the Actual Culprit! Since i got more freezes after that post (never celebrate too early). To my surprise, it was Mod Organizer 2, if I ran the game through steam, it worked completely fine for the hour that I tested.but through MO2 it would crash some minutes after i got out of helgen. And I actually found the reason why, my MO2 has some old skyrim.ini files which im pretty sure they cause issues. hell I noticed some changes immediately like the brightness being different between running the game through steam or MO2.Gonna Reinstall it too to see if its fixed.
