I only did the star burst thing because thats what I did with the titan armor, I may reduce the size of the burst though. Also It seems to flip some faces even with shape data so I havent a clue whats causing the problem or even how to solve it.

I would prefer not to have a star burst at all. Any chance you'll add a combat knife mesh to one of the shoulder paudrons, like from the movie shots?

I've also had the same problem with flipped faces when I was working on my weapons. I solved mine by exporting from max as .obj's, then re-import the new files into nifskope. I then stripify and copy the data into another window that I'm working on. This method is great for weapons and all, but .obj's do not store any rigging data, so this is basically useless for armors. The more you know...

thats one of the ideas I had thought of, but when I exported as an obj file it wouldnt import into nifskope for some reason. I tried exporting just the torso as a nif but it decided to rotate it 90 degrees, which looked really creepy in game. it was like some insect crawling on the floor D:, I should have recorded it.

I may be able to get different helmets to work on this armor after all btw... some one suggested something for the flipped normals which didnt seem to work, but It showed me a pretty useful function which enables me to edit the mesh and still keep the rigging data, so woo!

Just a quick idea! Feel free to ignore me...

Some enterprising and talented individual could retexture the tyokio's Deeo Eyes armor (with tyokio's permission I mean) for an optional add-on to be the uniform for either Reilly's Rangers or Talon Company. For some odd reason, I think it'd be neat to see it used as gear for one of existing paramilitary factions in the game. Though I always felt that it was pretty cool that Talon Company and the Rangers had different designs on their combat armor, it would have been even better if the armor was just totally different in some fashion.

How about exporting it as obj. then open it in Blender. Then export it as .nif? Sounds nuts, but it might work. I heard .nif exporting is buggy through max.

hey i'd be up for it. Wouldn't mind seeing Reilly's rangers in this armor. talon company doesn't deserve armor this good lol.

I've fixed it now any way : D. I havent got any dismemberment stuff working on the model at the momemt so if you shot a limb off a talon merc or a reileys ranger misplaces their head, then its does some fairly weird stuff. doesnt crash but still, I'd imagine if it was made for the rangers or talon company then people would definatly want a fully functioning dismemberment system on the model.

I didnt get to work on the model today :C because I had caught an april fools virus so I was getting rid of that. While I was doing that I did start thinking about the world model and thought it would be awsome to have like a toy box model, so I got to work on some 50s style art and this is what I came up with. All painted by me other then the background wallpaper which came from a free texture source.

let me know what you think about that idea, I'd obviously make it more beaten up then that though.. seems a bit clean for something thats been sitting around for 200 years.

sent the mod to my bro to test out, so once thats done I'll include this in the final upload. everythings pretty much done now.
