Ascogyr
Hey so i've got a pretty big problem.Trying to use the either the forge, grindstone or a workbench wont work. All other station works like the tanning rack. The animations doesn't start and nothing happen.I tried mulpitle things : player.tai and enableplayercontrols didn't work. The mods "Nemesis" and "Unblock the actiavation fix" did nothing and all my saves have the same problem. If anybody know what to do please tell and if you need my mod list to see (if anybody know how to make a list of your mods from vortex please tell me) i'll try to make one. Kalindigo
I had that same issue. Do you have SkyUI and the smithing addon? I had to delete the smithing addon, now it works.
anjenthedog
Two possibilities come to mind 1) console mode: issue command enableplayercontrols Sometimes (rarely ime, but not never) player controls can get set to disabled, this command issued as noted will enable all affected attributesthis one I'm not so 100% sure on, but it has helped me in the past. 2) console mode: issue command player.tai IF it returns: "<player name> processing is ON", you should be good to go Sometimes, certain events will result in suspension of the player's ability to interact (perfectly normal) BUT when the event is over, it fails to reset the player's ability to ON. One example of such a situation is an animation sequence that fails to terminate properly. If player.tai is off, you most assuredly won't be able to interact with most or all crafting tools. IF, however, it returns "<player name> processing is OFF", then just issue the command once more to turn it back on (since it being set to OFF indicates that this was NOT your issue) PS> Note: "<player name>" means whatever player name you have, ie, if she's called Wanda then "Wanda", if he's called Bob, then "Bob", etc.
Snorfl
I know this is an old thread but I came across this searching for a similar fix so I'd thought I'd add how I fixed it in case someone has the same problem as me. I couldn't use grindstones and workbenches. Forges worked fine. The problem for me was the "Advanced Workshop" perk from Ordinators Perks of Skyrim. After I removed that perk it was fixed. Edit: Forgot to add that the enableplayercontrols and verifying it as on did not work. Edited May 18, 2022 by Snorfl
