Deleted30920795User
Hi, I'm coming back to the game for a final playthrough with the upcoming graphical upgrade. I wanted to use the time before release to make a couple of mods to enhance the immersion and cohesion of the game which hopefully will benefit not only benefit me but the community as a whole. Since I've been away for so long, I was wondering if someone knowledgeable can point me to the best up-to-date modding tools and utilities. Things beside the official modding pack released by the devs, that are essential for the aspiring modder, plus tips/shortcuts you may have (for instance I remember getting the official script editor to successfully connect to the running game to debug a script required some workaround that wasn't very obvious, but I don't recall what it was). I found a very informative list in the CDPR forums but the majority of the links are dead... Thanks! Edited February 19, 2022 by Guest
Osuirof
From my own research:ModKit + kitchen - did uncook files, but trying to make mod with doesn't work,W3Edit - works like a charm,WolvenKit - "Pack and install" option is wonky, and it produces many more files than "W3Edit", though it lets you "tinker" with already "cooked" mods + additional options not found in W3Edit,xTcModkit - is supposed to "unblob" mods, returns only errors. Looks like WolvenKit is the way to go then, with the support of W3Edit for packing. Kudos to you friend! Edited February 24, 2022 by Guest
