emjay144 Posted February 20, 2022 Share Posted February 20, 2022 I've been trying to get past the battle with Alduin at the Throat of the World. Every time I bring his health down, he just sits there and waits. No dialogue or anything. After a moment he regains full health and starts flying again and the battle repeats. I've reloaded multiple times, tried disabling/enabling him using the console, tried the setessential command on him - nothing seems to work. I also tried increasing the difficulty to kill him more slowly. I can force the quest forward using the console, but that doesn't feel great and it just left Alduin flying around the Throat of the World with Paarthurnax. I did have one mod (Dragons My Way) that affected all dragons, including him. But I uninstalled that and reloaded to before reading the Elder Scroll and that didn't work either. There were also no bugs reported on that mod page, so I'm not convinced it was the culprit. The only other dragon-specific mod I have is Diverse Dragons, which I don't think even affects Alduin. Wererommel Posted February 22, 2022 Share Posted February 22, 2022 There is a "Kill" command that should put him down. Or you could "SetHealth" to something negative. I may just have to use the console to bypass that part of the quest entirely. I've done this quest several times before and never encountered this bug. I'm going to keep an eye on the mod page to see if anyone else reports issues. In the meantime I just brute-forced past the quest using the console.
