Help! Fallout 3 DLC The Pitt won't work properly with a mod&#3

Hi everybody,

I have just dwnloaded 'The Pitt' DLC onto v1.4 FO3, My FO3 has the latest FOSE & FOMM and about 70 or so mods.

I copied the xlive files into the main FO3 data directory just like with O Anchorage.

My main character is lvl 20 and has already completed the vanilla main quest and able to carry on with a free-play mod. I was able to play the 'Operation Anchorage' DLC with said player.

The Pitt quest started like the Anchorage quest while out in the wasteland, a marker appeared a few km north of Fort Constantine. I traveled there and it was a radio tower and met up with a guy who escaped from the Pitt and fought off 2 raiders with new armors. The guy said to find a slave's outfit in the train yard.

:wallbash:

The train yard marker came up 1km west from the radio tower so i traveled there and the game CTD! Everytime i try again, CTD! I tried coming from different directions, still CTD!

:wallbash:

I loaded another lvl 20 character who did not complete the vanilla main quest with the same mods and the free play mod.

That character was able to reach the train yard!!!

I will continue later tonight and fingers crossed no more bugs! Major ones anyway.

But i'm gutted that i can't use my main character! I spent so much time on him!

So please help! anyone!? :ermm:

I'm having the same problem as Radman; using FOSE and FOMM + multiple mods and the Pitt moved to Data. My level 20 char (MQ not completed) CTDs on approach to get the slave outfit, however, if I load up an old save of the same character from just after exiting the vault and bring her to the same area, no CTDs! And this is without changing my mod list at all. So, is the character corrupt somehow? Does the Pitt not like certain level 20s or something? Anyone else have any insight on this? Like Radman, this is my "ultimate" character who I've been waiting to take through the Pitt forever. I'd hate to have to restart :(

This thread on the Beth forums seems to be tracking the same problem we're having; I'm going to make sure I moved the Pitt files instead of just copying them over. If that doesn't do it, sounds like no one knows what else will.

It looks like that SkullCowboy in the above thread has fixed it.

I will try this and see what happens. Fingers crossed!

I wasn't able to continue last night as i had 'real' work to do. (boring!) So i will try it tonight by just going further and also try moving instead of copying the Pitt files as well as the OA files - I copied the OA files from Xlive to main data file a while ago and no problems has occurred.

I hope you will manage to find a solution - please PM me if u do. I will do likewise for u!

Best of luck, bud!

Hey everyone!

Seimpre saved the day!

Dear Quazzy has made a an esp fix for the bug in the wasteland, it works very well and seimpre says it works too.

Here is the link:

It all works for us! Remember this only sorts out the bug out in the wasteland not inside the Pitt.

Enjoy the Pitt everyone!
