Vortex Not Allowing Hardlink Deployment Option

When I go to Settings>Mods>Deployment Method The drop down selection only has "Symlink Deployment (Run As Administrator) as an option. There are no other deployment method options. I need to deploy my mods as Hardlink but that option is not available. Why? What do I do to change the Deployment Method to Hardlink? The mod I want to use for Cyberpunk 2077 won't work unless it is Hardlink deployed.

For a start, your mod staging directory must be on the same drive as your game.

That is a Windows restriction with hard links.

 

Also, I don't recommend putting anything in AppData. The mod staging directory can get huge, and AppData is kind of invisible.
