JahRasta
As stated in my last topic I was having large http://thenexusforums.com/style_images/vrocking/folder_post_icons/icon4.gif show up in place of meshes, while I've corrected this my fire now shows up as pink and blocky and several characters in the game have pink arms legs and torsos...what would cause this and how would I track it down? buddah
If you don't already use it, look for archive invalidation invalidated, it places a dummy BSA file in your data folder making archive invalidation unnecessary. Over 200,000 users swear by it: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10724
JahRasta
I've got this installed, I've even tried disabling each mod one by one...still nothing...this is frustrating, I really do NOT want to reinstall all of my mods and whatnot... Michlo
Hiya, my first piece of advice is just general. When you next re-install, make a backup copy of your "clean" data folder. This should make it a lot faster for you should you have to go through the grueling process of resetting and then adding mods bit by bit until you find one causing a problem. This applies to Fallout 3 as well, of course. Secondly, the exclamation mark usually signifies missing meshes and it seems you've sorted that out. The pinkness, I have read in other posts, if it isn't a mod conflict, can be a symptom of GPU overheating. Make sure there is not only ample cooling going on in your box but a good space around the box. Good luck.
JahRasta
Well I've tried pretty much all of these suggestions but to no avail, I think I will simply re-install and carefully test after each mod...ugg.

Just make sure you do that backup........ :) I've actually found that a couple of times when I've decided to reset I've had a smoother run afterwards, even though I didn't really have any problems prior and only wanted to clean out mods I had removed, etc. Good luck. Qwaxalot
Thanks everyone. Is it possible to keep my save game from my old oblivion? Yes, you can keep them, but you should COPY (not move) them to some other folder. Then, after you sort out your issues you can try them again. Be advised that your old saves ARE mod dependent.
