My mod hotkeys no longer works and other function problems with MCM/Mods

Hi guys,

I have a hotkey problem here that is making my carotid artery burst and I can't solve it.
Several of my mods are not responding to their hotkeys even though everything is configured correctly. I always have to go into the MCM and set something in the mod so that the mod reacts to the hotkey again, it doesn't matter what I do. Re-enter the hotkey, deactivate/activate the mod or something else.
The following mods have problems:
Save Console Commands

Here the hotkeys only work when I deactivate/activate the mod.

Player Equipment Manager

ditto Save Console Commands additionally the opening of the armour container does not work properly.
Normally MCM closes when I click on the menu item for the container, but I have to exit MCM via ESC so that the container opens.

Relationship Dialogue Overhaul German but also English

Here too, the hotkey for the combat abort spell only works after you have done something to the mod in MCM.

and last but not least
OSA/Osex
here it doesn't matter which version, if the one for/with Ostim or the new con COEs website. The ten block only works when I have chosen one of the hotkeys again BUT Osex only works at the first start of the game, now and then in between but 90% of the time only OSA works, I can't start Osex or I can't even see it in the OSA menu to start it, only the OSA own menu with configuration/inspect/info etc. works.

The game worked in this configuration before without any problems, this happened all of a sudden, I think after an update, but I can't remember exactly.
I have already reinstalled the game 3 times, I really don't know what to do anymore.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

Of course I also use Loot and have everything with SSEEdit 4.0.4 cleaned up

Which game version are you playing? Are you sure everything is updated to that version - especially core parts like SKSE or Address Library? That's the first thing you should do.

These are "older" mods depending on SKSE, that weren't updated recently. Most mods created for older versions of SKSE still work with AE and the current SKSE. That's not guaranteed though. In some cases, updates might be necessary. So maybe it's AE that broke these mods.

Well, that's strange indeed. In that case, it's time for some of the usual troubleshooting routines:

 

1. Did you change anything about your mod setup? Did you install anything new? Update mods? Reinstall mods? Change your load order?

 

2. Did you test with a new game? If everything works then, it's very likely a problem with your save game. If the issue persists, it's indeed mod related.

 

3. Did you try to narrow down, which mod really causes the problem? Disable possible "culprits" one by one and test. Maybe you can find out, where exactly the problem is.

 

4. If step 3 doesn't give you clear results, try changing the relative load order of mods that use hotkeys. Sometimes this can help, too.

1. since I reinstalled the game 2x the mods will inevitably not have the same order and no, I hadn't changed anything before the problem, at least I wouldn't know that now but I don't think so.

 

2. yes also with a new game with a new start was the problem.

 

3. I have already deactivated several mods and no improvement.

 

I'm going to reinstall the game again now, starting with the problem mods and then gradually installing the other mods, we'll see.
