Sure its been asked a million times... I have used the search but get lots of useless stuff....

I am trying to install http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4362 Alexscorpions SNiper mod

First I downloaded ArchieveInvalidation Invalidated... Activated it

I then set my bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

I extracted his mod... placed it in my data folder...

Go to FalloutLauncher click Data Files... but its not showing up in there....

What am I missing?

ok I might have figured it out... I put all my mods into a folder I created in that data folder... apparently it didnt like that folder? Once I took them out and tossed it all alone into the data folder it seems like they now show up... however I dont think there working, is there a quick way to make sure a mod is working? I downloaded a quick armor mod but still see the same old junk

Hmmm... did u download FOMM? If u don't have it download it from nexus download site (sorry i forgot the id, but it there) if u have it maybe u can use my technic to instal the Mod. After u unrar the rar Mod data after download it (came with Rar data) place u unrar data to somewhere (include ESP/ESM/ ESP & ESM +texture(sometimes not include)+meshes(sometimes not include)+sound(sometimes not include)) then put it all to u Directory/Falout 3/Data/.... and run the game via FOMM, check box side of Mod name and launch it. Enjoyed ;)

NB: Remeber to always put u Fallout 3. ESM on the top of Mod. If u didn't do that it cannot work

anything.

ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated can be done any time.

Mod ESPs go in Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data

meshes go in

Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data\meshes

textures in

Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data\textures

and you get the idea. Most mods are packaged so that you can just extract them right to \Data\ and be done with it.

If you want to see if a mod is working, do something relating to the mod. Add an item to your inventory or do whatever the mod involves. That's your easiest proof. Some mods are instantly obvious, as well, so obviously you wouldn't be asking about those, but I thought I'd say it anyway.
