On my current character that I am playing, I have run into Talon Co. hit squad above the Minefield. (The bluffs to the north of the minefield). There was a note on one of the hitmen from Tenpenny himself.

Now my question is this: Would this be justification to kill Tenpenny?

What are your thoughts on this.

Btw, I did disarm the bomb in Megaton.

Yes, the hitman might come if you've talked to Mister Burke and disarmed the bomb.

In my game, I only encountered the hitman once, so I think it just stops then. But honestly, I don't know. Take a loot at http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Hitman if you want to.

Technically it's Burke sending the hitmen. Alistair probably doesn't know or even care.

He doesn't bother to know "details" and maybe doesn't know about the hit squad but he wanted Megaton blown up by a nuke.

I always make a little side trip to kill him, no one at Tenpenny Tower even seems to care that he's gone and I even gain karma for doing so.

Clearly the world is better off without the "lush at large".

The funny thing is that you gain good karma for killing him. Like... "I chopped him down and thrown the pieces off the balcony, but, hey, I'm a kind person!". I love this game's sense of humor.

On that note, I found it interesting that one can slaughter raiders or Talon mercs and generally desecrate their bodies with no karma penalties, and even gain karma by turning their fingers in to the Regulators, but if you capture them alive and sell them as slaves you lose karma. o.O

Yeah, it's really annoying when you turn down Burke, then kill him without leaving the room, and THEN run into a hit squad hired by "B".

Apparently Burke can hire hit squads telepathically.
