bebbe777
My computer is on repair and GECK wont work on this one. But how about a Cyberpunk City, or atleast a isolated street. It could be a simulation to visit a fantasy reality or a dimensional port that takes you to a world were everything happened differently (Just fixing the lore bit). Maybe where the Enclave is a huge corporation, or why not Vault-Tec that has a high tech corporate office. Profit is more important than life, cyberspace and real life is one thanks to cybernetic implants and advances in virtual reality. Now, a street with high buildings, neon signs everywhere (or almost), blue, green, red, pink, purple light. High tech police patrolling (Maybe using the Colossus headgear together with some slick armor), people walking around in strange and colorfull clothes. A club you can visit were they play hardcore trance and girls dancing around (Something like Moriartys Stripper Club). More neon. Robots. Maybe some heavy underground industry. Advertisements on the latest wetware (cyber implants). A Corporation Headquarters with nice suits and sterile corridors (Umbrella Corporation may be used as inspiration). Maybe a hovering aircraft in the sky that advertise off world colonies (Blade Runner anyone). Well, to put it short. Watch Blade Runner, Johnny Mnemomic, Minority Report and Strange Days and you know what I mean. http://fc38.deviantart.com/fs33/i/2008/239/a/8/blade_runner_imagineFX_cover_by_francis001.jpg http://fc50.deviantart.com/fs41/f/2009/043/a/0/a0a00fba9a0874a25c24ac8df0c2677d.jpg
Madmorigan
Or read Neuromancer.... Although it all sounds very nice, this would be incredibly difficult to implement. It's virtually a whole new game. You would need a large team of Modellers, Scripters, Level and Quest Desigers, someone to do textures etc. The smaller scale street would be easier to achive but it wouldn't really fit in with the game as the whole ethos behind the Cyberpunk theme is a high tech corporation run world.I know you said alternate dimension but why would you be limited to just one street when you got there. Sorry not trying to poo poo your ideas, just pointing out it's a large undertaking.
bebbe777
Regarding the small street level. You could be thrown into a uprising and the street you wake up on is closed down by huge barriers. Or if it is a simulation it is closed down because the game wasnst developed any further. But youre right. We need new models and textures. But to make it somewhat easier we could use the Tranquility Lane street. Throw in some high buildings (Tenpenny Tower, Duchovs Place) and put some Neon lights (I know Megaton has some). The interior of Tenpenny Tower could be retextured to be more white and sterile. THe only problem is to find a exterior building that look high tech (Maybe the Haven from The Pitt, it isnt high tech but its looks newer than Tenpenny). We also has the Underworld Interior that would be good for retexture. The Enclave has some high-tech displays and static objects. But the problem is still the lack of new static objects that feels Non-Wasteland. Clothes, Armor and Weaponry is more easy if we could borrow from other mods. IceDragon987
:wallbash: Those pics are hot... (I'm talking about the car not the angel) Oh yeah... back on topic: That would be a great Idea and all, but as the above poster stated that is a HUGE undertaking and is basically a whole new game. Granted you could do what Beth. did and just make a whole lot of buildings that you can't enter. That would speed up the whole Citylife Cyberpunk idea, but it is still a huge undertaking and one person alone couldn't spit this out in less than 6+ months near final copy with bugs fixed working on the project as much as he possibly could. EDIT: God I love censorship at times... "angel" what a laugh! I ment a person that takes money for sexual favors you konw.. an "angel" haahhaaha
Mercuralis
Here's to hoping Bethesda goes with a Cyberpunk/Neuromancer game next! The RPG and action elements of Fallout are perfect for a good cyberpunk game.
