Donbar87
Hello, This is my first time doing a large-scale modded Fallout 4 run and I've run into an odd problem. Everything seems to function slightly faster than normal. It's most notable on NPC dialogue. The lip flaps start at the same time as the audio but quickly outpace it. When there are multiple sentences the speech audio will often overlap at the start and end since the timing is based off of when the talking animaiton has finished. Also, when building things and turning them they do so at light speed so it's very hard to actually build. The game as a whole feels sped up too, from combat, to running, mouse-look etc. Is this a known issue with any mods? I mostly have graphical mods installed as well as SS2, a couple of companion mods and We Are The Minutemen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. nexusclod
It could be a lot of things. The game speed is affected by your monitor's refresh rate, so try limiting to 60 fps and see if there is any change. Could be an .ini setting, even if you haven't altered it some mods will. Look at your .ini and your prefs.ini. Entered any console commands? What do you mean by "graphical mods"? If they are simple texture replacers like most "HD" stuff probably not, anything that alters other settings, who knows? Try the usual: deactivate your mods one by one, load the game, and check for any difference.
Donbar87
Thank you so much! I had no idea the game was tied to my monitors refresh rate. This is the first time I've tried running Fallout 4 with a 144Hz monitor. Changed the refresh rate to 75Hz and it's fixed the problem! Nothing to do with mods.^^ Thank you!
