Arcelas Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 So i was merrily modding away working on my first true retexture. And of course i decide to start with glass armor. I like hard things. Long, hard things...Like a bar exam. But I digress. I got the glass texture looking good in nifskope, and excitedly started Oblivion. I got the armor, put it on and damn i looked like hell. Pieces were missing. Not missing textures, with giant purple blobs, just missing, and the mesh was missing too! But I didn't get a "WTF missing mesh" bubble either. To create the effect the way i wanted it i used normal maps. Now was i supposed to select them in Nifskope? Cause i did. Now I'm discouraged and I need comfort food. xxXEvandarXxx Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 You are not supposed to select normal map in NifSkope, you should select the texture instead. The normal map should be in the same folder as the texture, and have the same name as the texure, but with a '_n.dds' at the end of the name.
