Circuitous
Have you played? Want to? There are actually a couple versions of this sort of thing in existence. My preferred version is Jason Mical's Fallout PnP (currently version 2.01). This is basically a direct adaptation of the SPECIAL system used in Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics. There's a version that was actually included in Fallout: Tactics, although it was more of a wargame (in the style of Chainmail and every other miniatures wargame in existence) than an RPG. There have also been countless d20 conversions, but if you want d20 there are already post-apoc games that work better. So... we're gonna focus on Jason Mical's conversion. Great! If you have some role-playing experience (tabletop!) and want to give the game a look, I've assembled a collection of sourcebooks on my blog. You can also pick up some material from No Mutants Allowed, although I haven't got a link handy right now. I've started this thread to drum up interest in the tabletop game, firstly because tabletop games are awesome, and secondly because I think it'd be pretty awesome to get a game started online. There's no shortage of outlets for online tabletop gaming, so if there's enough interest I think we could get a game started up very quickly. Use this thread to ask questions, offer advice or insight, or just comment on the idea of tabletop Fallout. If you want help making a character or have ideas for a tabletop session, this is the place to go. I've been using the system for a while, so I can probably answer your questions. ClosingGap
Sounds pretty damn good, have never really got into the whole tabletop DnD style games before.
Circuitous
Dang, not much interest then? C'mon folks. I'm a good teacher.
redshift89
Honestly there is no gaming experience like PnP RPGs. If you enjoy the decision making that fleshes out your characters in RPGs, this is for you. Actually playing is not as complicated as it may seem at first glance. Count me in for a game! Halororor
This should be more interesting than DnD.
redshift89
That it should! Circuitous, how many people do you think would be ideal?
Guest
I'm in, I've done some online Rifts gaming. Years of experience in PnP games in general, including D&D, WoD, Marvel, Abberant, Rifts and even some WoD Live-Action. In total, I've been playing for 17 years off and on. Since I was 8 and my Pops sat me down with his friends to play 1st Edition D&D. I also have extensive experience with every decent Fallout game. Not counting the weird Xbox one that was like Dark Alliance. Never tried that one, I loved 1, 2 and Tactics though.
mohikana
I'd like to join as well. I've got some experience doing actual tabletop gaming, mostly Vampire: The Masquerade Rev.Ed. where I both played it and GMed it. I have some experience playing these games online through message boards. I have admittedly got little experience with the Fallout universe in general. I've played through some of FO2 and all of FO3 but that's about it.
