Shivering Isles Triggering When Disabled.

Hello,

I recently uninstalled the Shivering Isles as I wish to do a short playthrough of the game but hate having extra quests in my journal. However the quest continues to trigger, the icon next to its name in the journal however is not present. I have completely removed the ESP and other files I could find from the data folder. I tried to use the console to finish the quests then but that added me to the faction for the questline and I do not think I can leave it.

That's where you went wrong, you went about removing it the wrong way.

 

The Shivering Isles expansion may have an ESP, but it's empty. It's only inside your load order to auto-trigger the use of the new BSA files with the matching names.

You deleted the ESP and the BSAs perhaps, but that'll only make the game be missing the resources now, not the game content.

 

The actual content from Shivering Isles was inserted into the Oblivion.esm right away. It's a new one now, and you'll have to install an old one or a backup you made over it first to get rid of any SI contents.

There should be a way to uninstall SI the proper way, and I'm led to believe it must be fairly well documented within the install instructions of the Shivering Isles expansion itself at least.
