jadahz
title, whenever I done a racemenu, both manual & auto save will always use a new slot instead replacing the current, is there a way to fix it? I know backup saves are useful, but I prefer do it manually
anjenthedog
yes. To avoid that, you can install a mod like "A Change of Face" which allows Racemenu editing without a new save being created on exit. Very useful when you just want to tweak this or that. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10508
Algabar
Also, check your ingame settings. Most (auto)saves can be disabled in the gameplay menu.
anjenthedog
One thing I'd add to my post is that when using something like A Change of Face to access your racemenu settings, you'll likely want to start creating racemenu presets from/for your character work to ensure an unforseen CTD at some point in your current session (following racemenu use) won't undo your work... fwiw... that's the one caveat. normal racemenu work ensures your changes are saved. In addition, naming a character gives it its own "path", which entering racemenu using A change of Face doesn't
