LE Local map on HUD?

I've been looking for a while, but I haven't come across a mod that let you have the local map on HUD.

 

IcePenguin's Qualify World Map with Roads is definitely a godsend, but I sometimes feel like it would be nice if I can see the local map as a mini map as part of HUD.

 

At the very least, a hotkey that brings up the local map immediately, instead of having to open the map menu and bring up the local map.

 

When I am in a dark dungeon or when I am trying to orient myself on the field, so may times I get to open the map/local map repeatedly, which breaks the flow and immersion.

 

Now, I know what some are thinking, yes, looking at the map with GPS style location marker breaks immersion too, but I think I'd prefer the former at times. I am a non-fast traveler and I make my dungeons darker. So I am being "realistic" to the extent I like and can.

 

I don't know anything about modding, but displaying a compressed local map (where the local map from the map menu is sized down proportionately) or a local map showing only the very immediate surroundings shouldn't be all that hard.

 

If anyone would make something like this, I'd be really grateful.
